Video VS Face-to-face Coffee Training

Video VS Face-to-face Coffee Training

Coffee Isn’t an Email

Ever tried emailing your morning latte? Or watched a video of someone brewing and actually tasted it? Of course not.

Coffee is a Taste Experience

Coffee is a sensorium—a ritual of aroma, flavour, and hands-on craft. Yes, theory helps—but no amount of Zoom or PDF can replace the real deal.

Since COVID, Online Coffee Courses Went Viral

We get it. During lockdown, many trainers pivoted to video learning—and plenty of online barista courses popped up. Platforms like Skillshare and Udemy now list beginner-to-expert barista classes (some even under £15/month!) .

But as Perfect Daily Grind pointed out, coffee education thrived online—but coffee itself demands hands-on, sensory experience.

Is Learning Coffee for Academic Examination ???

A surprising shift: some learners now treat coffee like GCSEs—video lectures, tick-box theory, exam targets. “Show me the grade,” they say. But coffee isn’t a paper—it’s a beverage. You don’t email a cappuccino. You brew it, taste it, learn from it.

Hands-On Is the Whole Point

Real coffee skills involve:

  • Feeling the grind, timing shots and tasting how yield, pressure, or temperature shift flavour.
  • Texturing milk—getting a silky microfoam you can pour and savour.
  • Adjusting variables in the moment when the taste isn’t quite right.

Coffee Doesn’t Email

Imagine ordering a wine-tasting experience via email. It sounds absurd—but that’s exactly what “video-only coffee” is like. Case in point: you wouldn’t buy a watercolor painting by email either. You’d want to see, smell and feel it in person.

So Here’s Our Stand:

We don’t offer video-based training—because coffee cannot be learned by email, video, or a book. Theory has its place, but the real understanding comes from brewing, tasting, and hands-on practice. Otherwise, you might as well buy a book online. So we offer only face‑to‑face training—the way coffee should be learned.

Feeling Curious?

Come join us for a real coffee experience:

  • Pull shots with live guidance
  • Taste alongside others—you’ll learn from their successes and mistakes
  • Practice milk steaming until your wrist knows what good foam feels like

No screens. No theory-first. Just real beans, real cups, and real passion.

Coffee is a drink—and how we learn it should fit that. Not a test. Not a video. A cup.

Let’s brew it, taste it, and experience it—together.
