Dear coffee lovers,

From February 2026 onward, the price of our coffee beans and subscription will increase. As always we want to be transparent about why it’s necessary.

What’s driving the change?

The global coffee market has experienced an unprecedented shift.

• Harvest shortfalls – Many key growing regions have suffered from droughts and weather‑related setbacks, leaving fewer beans on the world market.
• Rising input costs – From transportation to packaging, every step of getting fresh, quality beans to your doorstep has become more expensive.
• Industry‑wide price jumps – Even big-box retailers like Costco have had to raise their coffee grades by 60–80 % to keep up with the new cost structure. Costco is celebrated for value, not focusing on top‑tier coffee. Their price hikecan reflect how much is the raw material surge.

Why we’re adjusting now

We’ve historically worked hard to keep our pricing as stable as possible, even when the market has been volatile. For the past year, we absorbed much of the cost increase to avoid passing it on to you. That approach has helped us remain a reliable source of premium coffee in Birmingham’s bustling independent roastery scene.

However, the recent spike in bean prices, combined with higher shipping and operational expenses, has stretched that buffer. We can’t continue to absorb the entire cost increase without compromising the quality and sustainability of our roastery.

Our Promise, Our Increase

You said you love coffee and tried to keep price stable. Our adjustment is a modest 7–9 % increase—a fraction of the jump seen in the wider market. We believe we tried our best whenever possible to absorb price fructuation and offer stable and premium quality coffee lovers expect. We did our part for ensuring the long‑term viability of our independent micro‑roastery.
